What is the MARÉ Festival?
MARÉ is the Atlantic music and arts festival that was born in 2020 with the main objective of creating cultural connections between Compostela and the world. Through an intercultural dialogue, it seeks to make the city visible and encourage collaborations between local and international artists. In addition, it promotes social activism, highlighting inclusion, feminism, sexual diversity and respect for local communities and environmental sustainability. Integration with life and with the inhabitants of Compostela is fundamental, approaching the heritage carefully and rejecting the culture of macro-aphorisms.
