MARÉ grows in this fifth edition by incorporating a professional space aimed at being a platform for the promotion, projection, and development of artists, professionals, and cultural and creative companies.
The MARÉ festival is part of the European Network MATE, which connects the cities of Coimbra (Portugal), Thessaloniki (Greece), and Santiago de Compostela (Galicia) with the common goal of promoting the intersection between Music, Art, Technology, and Education.
MATE organizes a professional meeting of the cultural and creative industries within the framework of MARÉ, with a special focus on the music sector. Programmers from more than a dozen countries will be present at the festival to meet artists and professionals in different programs: concerts, business meetings, talks, conferences, project presentations (pitching), workshops, and mentoring sessions.
MATE aims to foster creativity and innovation by valuing knowledge, training, mentoring, and business creation within the cultural and creative industries, with a vision that values the principles of diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. A platform to promote emerging talent, foster collaborations, and create business and work opportunities.
MATE and MARÉ strengthen and integrate into a large event where the diversity of audiences enriches the experience, making it an innovative festival and expanding its impact. The general public and professionals in the field of culture and creativity will enjoy and benefit from their joint program.
The program will continue in October with an event that will offer interesting and practical talks and workshops aimed at professionals in the cultural and creative industries, students, entrepreneurs, artists, and creators.
